    • How to chose a Vacuum

Using generalities, which we hesitate to do, we have found that with quality household vacuum users, there are two types of people, ones that like uprights and ones that like canisters.

If a person likes uprights, you could give them the very best canister vacuum there is and they would just not like pulling it behind them, thus they would hate it.

The same is true with persons who like canister type vacuums, they would not be happy working with an upright.

Before you even think about buying a vacuum there are several important things you must think about:

Question 1: Do you like the power of a canister vacuum where you have a hose that runs between the main unit and your wands and carpet power head, and where you pull the unit behind you by pulling on the hose? Where all you have to do is change the power head to a floor bush to do ceramic tile and hard wood floors.

Question 2:And if you think you would like a canister, would you like a bag type or better filtration system using water?

Fact: 1. A vacuum that uses water to capture the dirt, and filter the air, does an excellent job both in cleaning and filtering. But..... some people do not like handling the dirty water when you have to dump the dirty water outside where it came from. And..... you have to keep your machine clean and dry after use.

Fact: 2. A bag type vacuum requires less maintenance, and the bag is easily discarded when it is 2/3 full.

Question 3: Do you like the convenience of an upright vacuum, where the machine is right in front of you, with all your hand tools right there on your machine.

And where you can convert your machine to use the hand tools easily?

Question 4: And if you think you would like an upright, would you like a bag type or a bagless vacuum?

Fact: 3. A bagless vacuum will save you money, where you won't have to buy bags over the life of the machine. But there is more maintenance, as you need to keep the filters clean and then there is the expense of replacing filters when they no longer perform properly. The filters can be very expensive.

Fact: 4. A bag type vacuum requires less maintenance, and the bag easily discarded when it is 2/3 full. Bags are much cheaper than filters.

Anyone who would like advice on a quality vacuum choice can contact us, and we will do our best to help.
